WAXING
Waxing is a form of semi-permanent hair removal which removes the hair from the root. New hair will not grow back in the previously waxed area for four to six weeks, although some people will start to see regrowth in only a week due to some of their hair being on a different human hair growth cycle. Almost any area of the body can be waxed, including eyebrows, face, pubic hair (called bikini waxing), legs, arms, back, abdomen, knuckles and feet. Its origins can be traced back to ancient Egyptians with the notion that a smooth, hairless body was a sign of beauty. And the same remains true today. At Nail Club III, we employ the most current waxing techniques with all natural products for smooth, flawless results every time.

Brazilian Waxing - Everything you may want to know.
Brazilian Waxing is considered one of the most curious and fastest growing waxing trends in our industry. Why? There are 3 most common reasons:
- Hygiene – Pubic hair attracts microorganisms that may cause skin irritations and odor. Brazilian Waxing considerably reduces the occurrence of these issues.
- Sensuality – Some women suggest that they feel more sensual with a heightened sexual experience as a result of Brazilian Waxing.
- Liberty – With Brazilian Waxing women have the freedom to wear revealing swimwear or lingerie leaving a smooth result.
BIKINI AND BRAZILIAN WAXING
- We use wax strips with soft wax.
- Hair should be a minimum ¼ of an inch long. If the hair is sticking up then it is too short and will not come out with the wax. If the hair is too long it will crack off and the whole hair follicle will not come out.
- If waxing is done consistently you will get longer time in between visits and be less uncomfortable each time. Typically hair grows back finer and weaker.
- Exfoliate before and after treatment, no more than 2 times per week.
- It is not recommended to tan or exercise immediately after (the day of the waxing).
- If you are taking certain types of acne treatments you should check with your doctor before being waxed.
- If you are using a product with AHG, this is a product that thins the skin and can cause skin to be removed easily, it important you let your service provider know.
About Bikini and Brazilian waxing, you should know ...
- Sensitivity: Your skin is often more sensitive during your menstrual cycle, and waxing can be more painful than normal. We DO NOT suggest taking this service during this time. So your appointment shouldn't be any closer than a couple of days before or after your cycle.
- Cleanliness: Shower and lightly exfoliate your entire bikini area right before your appointment using warm, not hot, water.
- Skip this step: Refrain from using any lotions or oils on the bikini area.
- Hair for now: You need some hair growth for the wax to hold onto, but not too long, which can make the waxing hurt more than it needs to. We require a ¼ inch long, the length of a grain of rice.
- Pain management: Taking a painkiller, like Tylenol, 30-45 minutes before your appointment is recommended if needed. (Aspirin and Ibuprofen may not be the best choices as they both are known to thin blood.)
- During: Know exactly what you want. This service often removes hair from the behind and between your legs. Sometimes a strip of hair or triangle is left in the front. Don't be afraid to communicate exactly how much hair you want gone and remain to your technician. Remember, you can always create your own.
